No. The app works without one, and your journal stays on your phone. To back it up, use it on the web or share entries, turn on Cloud Sync in Settings: add your email, confirm it, and choose a password. Everything you wrote before then starts syncing.

Tap "Forgot password?" on the sign in screen in the app, or at woym.app/login. We'll email you a link: open it, choose a new password, and sign in with it. The link works once, so if it has expired, ask for a new one.

Yes! You can share any journal entry via email directly from the app. WOYM remembers your "previously shared with" contacts, so sharing with the same people again is quick and easy.

WOYM is available on iOS and as a web app you can access from any browser. An Android app is coming soon.

No. Your entries are encrypted in transit and at rest, and only your account can open them. Nobody sees an entry unless you choose to share it. You can also lock the app with Face ID or your passcode. Our Privacy Policy at woym.app/privacy has the details.

Yes! You can export your journal entries in both plain text and Markdown formats, so you always have a portable copy of your writing.

Absolutely. WOYM supports photos, videos, and audio recordings in your entries. The free plan includes 50MB of media storage. The Lifetime plan gives you unlimited storage.

Yes. WOYM can auto-detect your city when you create an entry, and you can edit the location at any time. Your entries appear on the map in Memories, so you can revisit memories by place.

Yes. You can change the date of any entry after creating it, which is useful if you want to backdate a journal entry or correct a mistake.
