Import your Apple Journal into WOYM
Bring every entry across, with its photos, videos and recordings, in about five minutes. Your entries keep their dates, and running it twice never makes copies.
Export your journal on iPhone
The export lives in the Settings app, not in Journal itself:
- Open Settings, scroll down and tap Apps.
- Tap Journal.
- Scroll down, tap Export All Journal Entries, then Export. You may be asked for your passcode.
- Stay on the screen until it finishes. Files opens: choose a place and tap Save.
You now have a ZIP called AppleJournalEntries, with every entry and its attachments.
Open Import Entries in WOYM
Sign in at woym.app and open Settings, then Import Entries. You can do this in Safari on the same iPhone, or on a computer if you send the ZIP there with AirDrop or iCloud Drive.
New to WOYM? Create a free account first. The free plan has unlimited entries.
Choose the ZIP
Tap Import from Apple Journal and pick AppleJournalEntries.zip. There is no need to unzip it. If you already have, use or choose an unzipped folder on a computer and pick the AppleJournalEntries folder.
Keep the tab open until it finishes
WOYM reads your entries, adds each one on its original date, then uploads the photos, videos and recordings. A journal with a few hundred photos takes a few minutes. When it is done, you see how many entries came across and anything that was left out, with the reason.
